2017 marks 50 years since the first Camaro, and to celebrate Chevy is hosting some events as well as releasing an anniversary edition of the 2017 Camaro. The 50th anniversary Chevy Camaro celebrations will take place in the Detroit area in from August 18 to 20.
The Camaro celebrations in Detroit will include a Camaro factory tour on the 18th in Lansing. In addition to being able to see a Camaro assembled, there will also be a car show at the factory. On August 19 in Detroit there will be a Camaro Fifty Rally, where Camaro drivers will drive together up Woodward Ave. The 20th is the Woodward Dream Cruise, an annual auto event in Birmingham that will also feature a 50th anniversary celebration for the Camaro.
The 50th Anniversary Edition Camaro is available in Nightfall Gray Metallic paint, with special wheels and center caps, an RS Appearance Package, orange brake calipers, and a few other exterior tweaks. The interior has a unique black leather interior with orange accent stitching and suede inserts, as well as 50th Anniversary treatments on various parts of the vehicle.
The Anniversary Edition will be available in the 2LT Coupe and Convertible and the 2SS Coupe and Convertible models.
