Chevrolet Corvette Carbon 65 Edition Coupe to Go to Auction for Military Initiative

2018 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe | DeLillo Chevrolet | Huntington Beach, CA

Last month, Chevrolet announced that it would be auctioning off the very first 2018 Chevrolet Corvette Carbon 65 Edition coupe at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, Arizona. In doing so, Chevy and parent company General Motors will be working with the George W. Bush Presidential Center to support the Bush Center’s Military Service Initiative.

It’s only fitting then that former president George W. Bush will also sign the new Corvette Carbon 65.

The auction will be held at 4:30 p.m. PST on January 20, 2018.

What is the Military Service Initiative? In short, it serves to raise money for post-9/11 veterans and their families as they transition to civilian life, including helping the veterans find purpose-filled careers and heal from the psychological wounds they might have gained during wartime.

The effort makes sense for General Motors, which currently employs more than 6,000 veterans. On top of that, more than 50,000 GM retirees have served in American armed forces.

The Chevrolet Corvette Carbon 65 Edition coupe will be limited to just 650 units and will add a number of exterior elements and interior appointments that serve to make the Corvette look more like the Corvette Racing C7.R. To learn more about the special edition, contact DeLillo Chevrolet.
