NTEA The Work Truck Show

This March, Chevy revealed the eagerly-anticipated 2019 Silverado 4500HD, 5500HD, and 6500HD at the NTEA Work Truck Show. These pickup trucks are mind-blowingly capable while also being distinctly customer-oriented. Chevy wanted to create trucks that are work-ready, offering a great driving experience while also being capable of handling worksite jobs with ease. At DeLillo Chevrolet, we think Chevy succeeded with these new medium-duty pickup trucks.

Chevy thoroughly thought out what customers want in a work-ready truck, taking input from truck drivers, technicians, Chevrolet dealers, and other experts. The new Silverado is incredibly powerful, featuring a 6.6-liter Duramax diesel engine with 350 horsepower and 700 lb-ft of torque. While sitting in the driver’s seat, you will be privy to a superior driving experience, as one of the challenges Chevy was dedicated to overcoming was the fact that large trucks can be difficult to drive, in terms of maneuvering and handling.

The Silverado’s premium strength and maneuverability are matched by its smart interior that offers both superior comfort and advanced technology. The interior cabin is durable yet stylish and provides a welcome respite while on a worksite. It will also offer a fun infotainment system with Bluetooth®, Apple CarPlay™, and Android Auto™ compatibility, as well as an available 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot so you don’t have to worry about being out of range.

According to Chevrolet, the new Silverado trucks will head into production late this year, with order guides and pricing information announced this summer. Be sure to check in with us at DeLillo Chevrolet for more information.

2019 Chevrolet Silverado 4500HD and 500HD Teasers

Chevrolet Silverado 4500HD

Truck enthusiasts have been awaiting the debut of the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 4500HD and 5500HD for some time now, but they won’t have to wait much longer. With a debut slated for March, the medium-duty models will appear at the Work Truck Show 2018. To generate even more hype, Chevrolet unveiled some teaser photos prior to the event.

The Chevrolet Silverado 4500HD and 5500HD teaser images show off a larger front clip. The chassis and suspension fit that of a much stronger truck than the existing Silverado models, and rightly so given the all-new model’s capability. Some styling cues from the current Silverado trucks, such as the headlights, will be very much the same on the new pickups.

The Work Truck Show 2018 runs from March 6th to the 9th and serves as the North America’s largest truck show. The all-new Silverado medium duty models will arrive with regular or crew cabs paired with two- or four-wheel drive. There will also be a number of wheelbases and weight ratings available, making the upcoming pickups some of the most versatile in the industry.

Keep your eyes peeled for the debut of Chevrolet’s all-new trucks!

We here at DeLillo Chevrolet can’t wait to see the Chevrolet Silverado 4500HD and 5500HD in all their glory.

Chevrolet Announces Centennial Editions for Silverado and Colorado

Chevrolet Announces Centennial Editions for Silverado and Colorado

This fall, Chevrolet celebrates 100 years of pickup trucks here in the United States. The very first pickup that Chevy produced had wooden seats and no doors and offered just 36 horsepower. It wasn’t until 1999 that Chevrolet unveiled the Silverado to replace the C/K pickups. The Silverado has been a mainstay in the truck market ever since, joined more recently by the smaller Chevrolet Colorado.

To celebrate one hundred years of Chevy trucks, the American automaker has announced Centennial Editions for both the Silverado and Colorado. The 2018 Chevy Silverado and Colorado Centennial Editions will be sold exclusively on the Z71 models in Centennial Blue.

In addition to the historic blue color, the special edition models will feature heritage bowtie emblems as well as 100 year badges throughout the bodies and interiors.

“The Silverado and Colorado Centennial Editions are a result of collaboration between Chevrolet Design, Engineering and Marketing, to commemorate the history of Chevy Trucks,” remarked Rich Scheer, Chevrolet Trucks director of Exterior Design. “Both vehicles offer our most enthusiastic fans a way to demonstrate their love for Chevy Trucks and celebrate the Chevy Trucks Centennial with us.”

Chevrolet Truck Lineup Turns 100

Chevrolet Truck Lineup Turns 100

Chevy has been around for a long time; that’s part of why it’s such a celebrated and integral part of American culture. But while iconic nameplates like the Camaro and Corvette have only been around since muscle cars had their heyday, the Chevrolet truck lineup – particularly the original Silverado and Suburban SUV, which uses a pickup truck platform – grew up with the American auto industry. The 2018 model year marks 100 years of the Silverado and Suburban nameplates, and Chevy is honoring them with anniversary special editions.

To celebrate the century-long spot Chevy truck have held in their model lineup, Chevrolet released the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado and Colorado Centennial Editions. They are only offered with the off-road ZL1 package, with additional extras like a special “Centennial Blue” paint color and bow-tie emblems on their grilles, front doors, and tailgates. Both models also feature 100-year badges prominently displayed.

Pricing has not yet been released for the Centennial Editions in the Chevrolet truck lineup, but their unveiling is kicking off at the Lone Star State gala at the Texas State Fair. Chevy has also stated that the Silverado and Colorado will be involved in some addition anniversary-related festivities over the next few months.

At DeLillo Chevrolet, we are proud to be part of such a long-standing legacy, and we can’t wait to see what’s to come with the Chevrolet truck lineup.
