Valentine’s Day Gifts for Car Lovers

Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, but there’s still time to order the perfect gift for the auto enthusiast in your life. We here at DeLillo Chevrolet have a few recommended Valentine’s Day gifts for car lovers that any fanatic will enjoy!

Dash Cam

Accidents happen, and a dash cam can help prevent your loved one from getting their insurance claim denied. The price of dash cams have dropped quite a bit in recent years, and good ones are available for under $100. A simple 30-second video can make the difference between a full insurance-covered repair and a denied claim.

Auto Care Supplies

There’s never a bad time to wash your car in Huntington Beach, unless it’s raining, of course. That makes auto care supplies, like car soap and wax, a great gift. Throw in a few microfiber towels and a specialized nozzle for washing cars to make your gift a car wash in a box!

Driving Loafers

A nice pair of driving loafers offers your car lover the chance to be even more comfortable behind the wheel. Cruising down open highways or making a casual drive through the city is best done in complete comfort, after all. Plus, driving loafers look pretty stylish, making them ideal even after parking the car.

Helpful Tips As You Prepare for Thanksgiving

Helpful Tips As You Prepare for Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is fast approaching, and while the holiday is meant to be a slow-paced, family-filled time to reflect on what you are grateful for, the reality is that you will be running around like a chicken—or turkey—with its head chopped off. Here are some easy tips to help you prepare for Thanksgiving.

  • Start thawing, early.

Buy your turkey in advance and stick it in your freezer. Doing so will ensure you get the plump bird of your Thanksgiving dreams and don’t end up leaving the supermarket emptyhanded on November 22nd. But if you are freezing it, you will need to allow plenty of time to thaw. When completely frozen, a turkey will need a day to thaw for every four pounds.

  • Make a schedule and assign jobs.

Stay organized. Draw up a cooking and entertaining schedule, and give everyone in your family jobs. Ask Aunt Karen to bring the mashed potatoes, and make sure your spouse knows his or her job is to help and not just watch football.

  • Try to enjoy the day.

After all your hard work of cleaning and cooking, take some time to enjoy the food and relax with a drink and your family.
